The Department of Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at Government Polytechnic Nayagarh is committed to providing quality technical education and practical skills in the field of computer science. Established in 2024, the department initially started with an approved intake capacity of 30 students, which was enhanced to 60 students in 2026 in response to the growing demand for computer science education and skilled IT professionals.
The department offers a well-structured diploma program designed to equip students with strong fundamentals in programming, database management, computer networks, software development, and emerging technologies. With experienced faculty members, well-equipped computer laboratories, and a student-centric learning environment, the department emphasizes both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practical training.
Regular seminars, workshops, industrial visits, and project-based learning activities help students develop technical competence, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and professional ethics.
